HOW TO GET HEALTH INSURANCE IN MEXICO?

In order to qualify for health insurance in Mexico, you must live in Mexico. Most companies do not require that you have a permanent or temporary visa. You do have to provide your physical address in Mexico and a local number.

Expat health insurance companies require applicants to live outside of their country of origin (passport issue) a minimum of 6 months in order to apply for an Expat health plan.

Most Mexican and international health insurance companies registered in Mexico require applicants to fill out a proof of residency form.

It is important that you know each company´s requirements before you apply.
